This is an attempt to make a big geo-blog for Biketour in WordPress.

My idea was to have a central place , organized by dates (therefore the blog metaphor) , where all participants (past & current) can write anything: from simple reports, to about their experiences.
To better visualize this information and give it more context, it’s essential to have most of it also georeferenced. This allows the “backgrounds” easily to combine texts with photos and maps.
But this blog can be used at the same time as an “almost realtime” platform for getting the most recent news about the project. All that have participated know that it’s difficult to really provide feedback to the “outerworld”.
This is where twitter comes in.
Since last year we have been using it as a tool for communication between every participant. Now the goal is to have it as a way of updating the website or this blog, and give visitors the ability to contact the group.
